Darrell Alford, CLU, ChFC

Experience

Darrell has been in the financial planning and retirement plan business for over 20 years. He managed a unit of employees and was responsible for the marketing and servicing of retirement and executive plans during his tenure with a large financial services firm. He took this experience to a large consulting firm where he served as a Vice President and Retirement Plan Consultant.

In January of 2004, Darrell established his own retirement planning and consulting business; Alford-Jungers Financial & Insurance Services, Inc. (AJF). The business focuses on providing professional support to plan sponsors and educating them on how to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities with respect to their retirement plans and the investment options in those plans. Darrell also specializes in the areas of deferred compensation and executive benefit plans.

Lisa Jungers

Experience

Lisa has been a member of the San Diego insurance community since 1989. She worked for 8 years with a large consulting firm where she was an Assistant Vice President and Retirement Plan Consultant, working with Darrell Alford in building the San Diego business. In January of 2004, she joined Darrell to form Alford-Jungers Financial. She manages the day-to-day activities of the business and assists clients with the oversight and maintenance of their retirement plans, including plan design monitoring, investment review, fiduciary due diligence and employee communications. Her responsibilities include strategic planning with sponsors and their committees for retirement programs.

David Morehead

Experience

David graduated from UCSD with a BS in Management Science (June 2007) and trained extensively with Mass Mutual Financial Group in financial planning and economic theory prior to joining AJF in January 2008.

Lourdes Vontsolos

Experience
Lourdes has been in the insurance industry since 1987, working for The Principal Financial Group Retirement and Investor Services as a Senior Account Executive until January of 2004. She is bilingual and has extensive experience and success with participant education meetings. Her responsibilities include client management, day-to-day contact with clients and providers as well as assistance with daily operations of AJF. She has extensive experience with all aspects of retirement plans. Lourdes holds NASD Series 6 and 63 and Insurance licenses.
